GSFC University at a Glance
Promoted by GSFC Ltd as part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the initiative was launched in 2010, with the formation of the GSFC Education Society.​

GSFC then applied to the state government for recognition of GSFC University under the Gujarat Private University Act in early 2014. The Letter of Intent was granted in July 2014, and an architect was appointed to begin building the campus.
A gazette notification—following the passage of a bill in the Assembly to amend the Gujarat Private University Act to include GSFC University—was issued in December 2014.

In accordance with the initial commitment to the Gujarat government, The School of Technology began operations at the Training Institute located in Fertilizernagar from academic session 2015.
