FOUNDATION COURSE - 2019 AT GSFC UNIVERSITY 

GSFC University has organized a two week Foundation Course for new batch of students enrolled in AY 2019-20; starting from Aug 19, 2019 onwards with a view to acquaint fresher’s with ethos of university and help them settle down in new atmosphere - to moderate transition blues, encourage them to build sense of self confidence, explore creative pursuits and develop minds and bodies to make them wholesome and well-rounded social citizens.

 

Looking to importance of creating overall awareness apart from inculcating leadership, teamwork traits this unique second in the series of Foundation course at GSFC University has been designed carefully considering need of students, experience of previous year and feed backs. Foundation Course is introduced in place of industrial internship in first year of curriculum which carries two credits and will cover subjects ranging from Values & Ethics; Social Awareness; University Code of conduct & Discipline; Creativity; First Aid; Disaster Management and Physical Fitness etc.

 

The course was inaugurated by Shri P. K. Taneja, IAS (Retd.) – President, GSFC University in presence of Dr. Nikhil Zaveri, Provost, GSFC University and other Management executives. During his inaugural speech, President briefed students about the University’s academic Infrastructure, Its USPs’, concept of Education 4.0 and 5-S, Medical Collage concept, Intensive Industrial Internships etc. He also emphasized students to maintain discipline, cleanliness and make the campus Vibrant. He also urged all the students to actively manage student managed clubs.

 

During this course, very learned personalities like Shri I. P. Gautam, IAS, Shri Navlawala, IAS, Smt. Vatsala Vasudeva, IAS, Shri Amit Khatri etc. will deliver lectures and guide students in varied fields.
